While citizens of both the Tetrarchy of Mezlagob and the Golden Empire did not regard its science programs as highly as those of the University of Chorrdo on Mezlagob or its consider its Orhyo programs to be on par with those of the Grand Academy of Arts and Letters on Telacia, both news agencies and academic periodicals considered the University of Dolomir better-rounded than those institutions and a school which still produced highly-qualified graduates. Many graduates of the University's College of Governmental Science (which awarded undergraduate and graduate degrees in Government, Economics, Statistics, and Public Policy, as well as specialist degrees in Law) went on to serve in the administration of whichever overarching government controlled Dolomir at the time, as well as Dolomir's own local government. Gazjir Nalech, a Director of Royal Intelligence, was educated at the University of Dolomir. Like most of Dolomir, the University was devastated under attacks by the Reawakened in 149 ABY. Along with the Dolomir Merchant Officers Academy, Consul Rensi Shal-Shatir made the rebuilding of the University of Dolomir one of his highest priorities. An influx of capital and educators lured from other institutions allowed the University to admit a new freshman class in the first month of 152 ABY.
