According to the investigations of both Dexter Morgan and writer Sal Price, Hannah was responsible for several murders sprouting from her time with Wayne and this occured just a year prior to her crossing paths with Dexter (and Wayne's subsequent death). Initially, Dexter views her as one of his potential victims and nearly kills her in his typical fashion, but cannot go through with it. Eventually, Hannah becomes infatuated with Dexter and even preposes that they should go live in Argentina, along with bringing Dexter's son, Harrison, with them. Dexter readily agrees to this, but, due to the interferences of Hurricane Laura, Oliver Saxon and the sudden death of his sister, Dexter secretly decides that he shouldn't do so. When Hannah reaches Argentina, Dexter calls her and says that he will meet her soon, but this is a mere ruse, as Dexter vacates to an unknown location to start a new life of his own, while also pretending that he died in Hurricane Laura. Hannah believes that he truly has died, so she is forced to take Harrison under her care with an unknown outcome.
