Chaiko was a female pirate of the 8th century. She assaulted the ship of Doji Yasagawa, killing him and seizing a pair of swords known as the Doji Dragon Daisho. The pirate later called herself the Sea Dragon, and waged a brilliant campaign destroying a large part of the Crab fleet pursuing her by attacking Clear Water Village with fire-ships. Ultimately doomed by her killing of a samurai, a combined Crab-Crane fleet laid a successful trap with modified merchant ships. Grievously wounded, Chaiko dived overboard with the Sea Dragon Daisho in the waters of Earthquake Fish Bay, where the sharks supposedly took care of her.
