  • The Sparkling Bridge is the third scenario in The Fiery Moon, the sixth part of Heroes Chronicles. In order to reach the Fiery Moon, Tarnum needed to travel through the Sparkling Bridge. Unfortunately, the elemental guardians refused to let him pass, and he had to fight through their armies. During a fight against some air elementals, Tarnum suddenly fell to the ground with a sharp pain in his stomach, as if he had been stabbed with a cold blade. He would have been killed if Skizzik hadn't jumped on one of the air elementals' back, biting it and distracting it long enough for Grumba to kill it. Later, Tarnum realized that it was the pain of the wound that killed him. He wondered whether it had anything to do with the missing Ancestors. He thanked Skizzik for saving his life, and the familiar told him that familiars and barbarians couldn't be friends - so he decided to be a barbarian too. Skizzik dressed up in a wool loincloth and a helmet with ram's horns, and wielded a hatchet as if it was a battleaxe. When the hatchet was destroyed in a fight against some fire elementals, Tarnum ordered his armorer to forge a proper axe for him.
