  • Cardan Vs were meant to build the mainstays of the fleet, such as all Star Destroyer classes, excluding the assault ships, frigates, Victory class, Imperious class, and any SSD–size ships. All other designs could be built here. These stations were even more heavily armed than Cardan IVs, primarily equipped with four heavy turbolaser cannons, four batteries of laser cannons and three heavy ion cannons. They added to that with three assault concussion missile tubes, four heavy proton torpedo tubes and a general–purpose warhead launcher that usually used EMP missiles or magnapulse warheads.

Like all their predecessors, Cardan Vs could carry several starfighter squadrons, capable of holding six starfighter and two bomber squadrons, for a total of 96 ships. They could also deploy a full squadron of shuttles.
