| - At 1st level, as a standard action, the Death's Herald can loudly and clearly announce the doom of any creature they are within a mile of. The Death's Herald must refer to the creature by a name they have answered to or referred to themselves as, and at least one non-ally creature must hear the pronouncement for it to have effect. The creature will feel a chill down their spine, and experience a sense of dread as the axe of fate hovers over their neck. For 24 hours, that creature takes a -1 luck penalty to AC, and to saving throws vs death effects, diseases, fear effects, and poisons. The penalties to AC and saving throws increases by -1 every five levels, to a maximum of -4 at 20th level. In addition, the first time the creature takes damage each round, it is increased by the Death's Herald's Wisdom modifier. This increase in damage is not multiplied on a critical hit.
