This was the first Mario Party game to be played that actually celebrated a birthday! Two of them in fact, since Justin and Kris have the same birthday of September 13th! They both agreed to play on Sweet Dream, a board that clearly fits the birthday tradition. It was only fitting for either Justin or Kris to win this game. Sadly, it wasn't as clear-cut as one of them placing first and another second, there was an enormous gap. By the end of the game, Justin was left a sweet taste of victory as he turned 18 that day, where as Kris felt the opposite as he turned 17.

Justin went on a rampage, collecting countless stars around the board, leaving no opportunity for other players to catch up. Kris on the other side of the spectrum had a long streak of bad dice rolls, which didn't even bring him close to any stars. By the end of the game, Justin was left a sweet taste of victory as he turned 18 that day, where as Kris felt the opposite as he turned 17.
