| - Radac Marl was a career soldier who served, at various times, the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire and almost all of the various successor states that sprung up in the wake of the Empire's defeat at the Battle of Endor. After the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War in 19 ABY, Marl continued to serve the Imperial Remnant until his death in a freak accident in 20 ABY. Born into a well-off Coruscanti family, Marl was exposed from a young age to militaristic views and by the time of the Clone Wars was both old enough and sufficiently military-minded to join the Republic Military. Serving in the Republic Volunteer Corps, Marl frequently saw action alongside the Jedi and the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. At the end of the war, Marl was among those who wholeheartedly supported the establishment of the Galactic Empire and the beginning of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's reign as Galactic Emperor and continued to serve in the Imperial Army. Seventeen years after the end of the Clone Wars a fresh confilct broke out. Marl, still with the Imperial Army, fought in the Galactic Civil War. Seeing action on many planets, Marl grew to hate with a passion the forces of the Alliance to Restore the Republic that he was fighting, and thus was deeply angered when, nineteen years after the Battle of Yavin, the Imperial Remnant signed a peace treaty with the New Republic. However, he remained with the Remnant and was killed the following year when, in a freak accident the ship that he was posted on, the Fist of the Empire, suffered a meltdown of its reactor and exploded.
