Given the incident with the Acanti Soulforce it may be that they have a supernatural origin.

- The Brood are parasitic aliens from the Marvel universe who reproduce via laying their eggs inside other life-forms, they share some similarities with the Xenomorphs but are a unique species in their own right. Ruled over by a Matriarch and Empress the Brood see other life forms as raw resources and are not evil so much as amoral, killing out of necessity and although advanced they are still ruled largely by instinct. The Brood have faced many of Marvel's heroes, including the X-Men, Ms. Marvel, Hulk and the Fantastic Four.
- Brood is a member of a squad of Blood Pack mercenaries who attack the human colony of Fehl Prime in 2183 and is Archuk's second-in-command. He has the bloodlust typical of his species as well as a code of ethics that compels him to honor his debts in a warrior's way. Brood is present during the Blood Pack's attack on the Fehl Prime colony in 2183. He takes out the colony's kinetic barriers by throwing a satchel containing a powerful bomb. He takes part in the ground charge afterwards, riding with a gang of vorcha and a number of other hovering assault vehicles towards the colony.
