Futhork (File:FuthorkinFuthork.png) is the writing system that has been used to write the Wessen Language and the Cornish Language since the 13th century, replacing the Anglo-Saxon Runic alphabet. Futhork is named after the first seven letters in the alphabet. Futhork was adopted in 1267 by order of King Penda II under advice from to replace the 'outdated' Runic alphabet as stated in the Wessen Chronicle. Futhork is a mono-case alphabet, which resembles lower case in the latin alphabet. Futhork is influenced by the early latin alphabet in orthography. The alpahabet consists of 24 letters.
