- Ulric is the Empire's God of Battle. He is worshipped in the Imperial province of Middenland where his cult dwarfs all others. He was the patron God of the Teutogen tribe. He is the brother of Taal.

- Ulric is the god of battle and destruction, the patron of wolves, and the spirit of winter. He is portrayed as a massive warrior, armoured in the style of the barbarians who inhabited The Empire several centuries ago, and wearing a silver-grey wolf-skin cloak. He can also take the form of a huge silver-grey wolf. Ulric is a distant, harsh, and unforgiving god who expects his follwers to stand on their own two feet, putting their faith in martial prowess. He despises weakness, cowardice, and trickery and expects his followers to always take the direct approach to solving a problem.
- Though starving and wary, the Teutogens answered the howls of the wolves with battle-cries of their own, and matched tooth and claw with axe and hammer. As the holy books of the Cult of Ulric says that Great Ulric was pleased with his people's bravery and bathed the Teutogens in a cold light that caused the wolves to panic and flee. The Teutogens finally reached the mountain, and in awe of the hallowed place, which they now named the Fauschlag, meaning "Fist-Strike" in their dialect of Old Reikspiel, immediately swore to build the grandest of temples at this site, where they would forever worship mighty Ulric, their god of Winter, Wolves and War.

- Ulric joined the soldier ranks and was successful for a while, but soon realized that though this was a close approximation of the life he was searching for, it wasn't quite enough. He wanted more, and more than the Koridian military could give him. At the tender age of 20, Ulric resigned his commission and left Pavillion. He had heard rumors of an elite, yet elusive (and frankly speaking, an ostracized) band of mercenaries. His journey took him far outside of respectable Koridian society, to the stronghold of Armeth Talon. There, he joined the trainees and eventually became a Talon Knight.
