Joe Rybandt got involved in editing in the mid-1990s, working for Gemstone Publishing on Overstreet's FAN and The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide as a research editor and later as a staff writer. After leaving Gemstone he did some work in online commerce, trading comics and other fan collectibles. He became involved in the comics industry in 2006 when he began working for Dynamite Entertainment as an editor on their Army of Darkness comic. Throughout the late 2000s he continued to work for Dynamite on a wide variety of titles, including The Boys, the adaptations of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, Project Superpowers, Zorro and numerous other projects. He has also done some work for Marvel, starting in 2007 when he edited Wyrms.
