The M-92 is a 7.62 mm Assault rifle developed and manufactured by Zastava Arms of Kragujevac, Serbia. The M92 is designed on the basis of famous Kalashnikov rifles from Russia, which was proven in numerous wars fought worldwide in the last sixty years of its service. The Zastava M92 chambers and fires the 7.62x39mm round. It is gas-operated, air-cooled, magazine-fed, selective fire firearm with an underfolding stock. It bears a similarity to the Russian-made AKS-74U, a derivative of the AK-74 rifle, but is easily distinguished by the curved metal magazine, underfolding stock, and the design of the handguard.

- The Zastava M92 is a carbine developed and manufactured by Serbian Zastava Arms. It was developed from the Zastava M85 carbine, a nearly identical weapon with only difference in caliber, and with that, the magazine design. The M92 is actually a shortened version of the Zastava M70 assault rifle, which is alone a modified copy of the Soviet AKM assault rifle.
