Centipede Swarms are a swarm of centipedes that have been permanently enchanted to become bonded to each other. The bonding can be caused by various spells, but it may also be a random event. When it is a random event it is considered a natural disaster of sorts, where the ambient magical energy in the Magickverse causes them to become bonded. Once this binding has occurred then a centipede swarm seeks to surround and attack any living prey it encounters. The most common spell to summon a Centipede Swarm is known as Creeping Doom.
