The Spiral Staircase, marked as "Ever Downward" at its entrance, refers to the long, Otherworldly staircase that Henry Townshend and Eileen Galvin descend in Silent Hill 4: The Room. Henry first enters the staircase after rescuing Eileen from the impending danger in the Otherworld St. Jerome's Hospital. Henry and Eileen encounter the spiraling stairs many more times throughout their journey. Presumably, the spiral staircase was created and used by Walter Sullivan to access the many worlds his dark rituals had formed. In Silent Hill: The Arcade, the staircase is visited and known as "19181993".

  • Spiral Staircase is a Doctor Who comic strip. It has been printed through various publications.
  • Spiral Staircases are fancy. Dont you think? Well this one is more dangerous then intended to. But then, its really easy. A Spiral Staircase winds down (With no sidebars!) and you must reach the end.
  • Examples of them are: the one which Kratos uses to go from Athens' Sewers to the Road to Athens (and then continue his journey to the Desert); and the one that joins the Catacombs of the Fallen, deep in Euryale's Temple, with the Destiny's Atrium. Also, spiral staircases are found in the Temple of Helios, Pandora's Temple (before the Hall of Trials), and Crete.
  • Note that when used, a Spiral Staircase will always ask you whether you wish to go up or down, when you click on it. If the Spiral staircase is built on the ground floor, then it can connect to both a floor above and a floor below. The other complications associated with staircases involve adding rooms, or changing the staircase.

If the Spiral staircase is built on the ground floor, then it can connect to both a floor above and a floor below. The other complications associated with staircases involve adding rooms, or changing the staircase. A staircase added to a Skill Hall on the regular level will prompt you to build it "Up" or "Down". When building an "Up" staircase, then attempting to climb the staircase, the construction interface will ask if you want to add a room at the top of the staircase. The rooms available at the top are either a Quest Hall or a Skill Hall. If you build a "Down" staircase, you have an additional option of building a dungeon stairs room downstairs.
