The Baby Boomer Age is a period from 1946 to 1966 when the birth rate of the United States soared during the economic prosperity of the 1950’s and the end of the Pacific War. This led to a new generation of Americans at that time, with the people born at that time nicknamed “baby boomers”. The causes of the Baby Boomer Age include the reduction of the marriage age to 16, advances in medical technology, the desire to have large families, the economic prosperity, and the marriage of numerous soldiers and their wives.
