Tutelas Paladins were the men and women of the Tutelas Order who had completed their basic training and eventually earned the title of Paladin through their service through their Order. Unlike the Knights, the Paladins were trained more in Long Range Combat then they were in Close Range. They wielded a variety of Blasters, most which were Tutelas crafted, or even the rare Projectile Weapons. They may have seemed like soldiers to some, but they were not much for military style and were instead Holy Fighters who preferred Long Range then Close Range. They were all recognized with the same full covering helmets they wear over their heads when on duty or on the battle. While their helmets may have seemed almost intimidating to certain people, the only ones who were to fear their appearance were enemies of the Republic. While rare, some Paladins had been rumored to know how to take down enemy Force wielders such as Jedi and Sith. When the Tutelas were exiled, those who did not follow their brethren chose to join the Republic Army and work alongside the enemy Jedi or worse, become a gun for hire. Their armor and helmet designs slightly altered over their centuries of solitude, becoming better and more protective with the advancing technology. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Tutelas decided it was time to act and most of the Paladins went to join the Rebel Alliance as foot soldiers and pilots. While they were loyal to the Rebels, their true loyal was to the Republic they were trying to resurrect, the true Republic that the Galactic Empire destroyed. After the battle of Endor and liberation of Coruscant, the Paladins showed their true colors to their Rebel allies and vowed to serve the New Republic like their ancestors had nearly over ten thousand years ago.
