The 1956-22 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) - Pacific Coast Late Model Series (now West Series event held at Eureka Speedway on May 30, 1956. Herb Thomas won his second straight event, holding off Gordon Haines by one lap when the race was called due to poor track conditions. Eventual sesason champ Buck Baker did not compete in the event.
