Gonger is a small pink monster who appears in The Furchester Hotel. It is Gonger's job to let everyone know when it's "Monster Tea Time" with the use of his large gong (which occasionally knocks him over). Following his gong, the Tea Time Monsters make their regular appearance, barging through the hotel to the dining room. In the second season of the show, Gonger's role is expanded to hotel chef, where he still is able to bang his gong for tea time from the kitchen.

Gonger was typically performed by Mak Wilson and occasionally by David Rudman in the first season. In the second season, Warrick Brownlow-Pike became the character's primary performer.
