As Morglin Ironfist, Lord Alamar, Lord Slayer, and Queen Lamanda battled each other for the crown, all four sent their armies to capture Gateway. The town, located in the center of the island, dominated its surroundings to such an extent that whoever held it, also controlled the island. The town was guarded by a dragon, fiercelly attacking anyone that came near, but in the end, Morglin Ironfist slew the dragon and captured the town, forcing the others to flee. Their war then continued on the Archipelago of the Ancients.
