The Woodford Royals were a Senior Intermediate team from Owen Sound, Ontario. Founded as members of the Western Ontario Athletic Association, they were subject to a rule that disallowed teams with populations over 15,000. By naming themselves after a nearby hamlet and signing only players with "rural route" address, the team was able to circumvent this rule, despite playing in Owen Sound. They later became the Owen Sound Canadians as members of the OHA Senior Leagues.
