- Disturbia is a 2008 song by Barbadian singer Rihanna, covered in 2017 by American singer Amara. Amara covered "Disturbia" for the end credits of thriller film Target Acquired, in which she has a lead role. Amara's cover was released on February 13, to praise from Rihanna, who retweeted the official YouTube link to the music video and highlighted a comment praising the version. The music video was released a day later. DJ TRAKZ produced Amara's version of "Disturbia".

- After Kale's mother, Julie (Carrie-Anne Moss), cuts him off from television, video games and music to keep costs down and to get him to be more creative around the house, Kale begins to develop cabin fever and starts spying on his neighbors, including Robert Turner (David Morse), a man who is having an affair with his cleaning maid, the boys next door who occasionally play pranks on Kale & the new neighbor, Ashley Carlson (Sarah Roemer) who Kale and his best friend Ronnie (Aaron Yoo) spy on swimming in her pool. Kale and Ronnie begin to research Turner after Kale witnesses several strange occurrences at Turner's house and thinks Turner might be a serial killer.

An immediate-response alert is triggered by the bracelet if Kale ever steps outside this area. Heavily inspired by the plot of Alfred Hitchcock's classic Rear Window. Pleading guilty to the assault charge, and six months away of being eighteen, the maximum penalty is a year in juvie, considering his prior criminal record, three, but The judge is sympathetic towards Kale, sentencing him to three months of house arrest. He is then secured with an ankle monitor and a proximity sensor which prohibits him from leaving a 100 foot radius of his house.
