abstract
  • The Havoc class was a class of destroyers built and used by the Royal Manticoran Navy. (JIR1) Built as successor to the Falcon-class, the Havoc-class design started the RMN's move from beam-heavy to missile-heavy warships. Designed as general purpose destroyers, they were able to perform traditional destroyer missions in areas like the Silesian Confederacy. A total of 83 of them were built until 1922 PD. As the buildup of light units accelerated and after hull numbers reached four digits, the RMN began to renumber its destroyers, with HMS Havoc being re-designated as DD-01 in 1873 PD. Over time, the class was relegated to rear-area and low-importance duty stations, although they remained well suited for anti-piracy operations. (Companion)
