The Freedom Fighters have visited the planet, on Mobius for the first time since the defeat of the army, to reverse the metallic damage. Sonic easily teaches it a lesson, with the runt Metallix running from Sonic's attacks. Back at the Alpha Device, Amy and Johnny notice Sonic battling the Metallix. Amy pulls out her longbow and fires an armour-piercing arrow at the robot. Meanwhile, the Metallix is about to be beheaded but survives by firing its death ray at Sonic. The robot apologises, stating it used the blaster's lowest setting, and reveals itself to be a Mobian in disguise. As this sinks in, Sonic notices Amy's arrow approaching and grabs it before listening to his story, the bird saying he was captured by the Metallix for experimentation but he escaped. He managed to escape from his cell and built a Metallix disguise from old models. When the planet returned to Mobius, he made his way to the chain but saw the Freedom Fighters and thought the Brotherhood had returned. Soon, Amy comes over and asks where her arrow went. Sonic lies and says it flew off into the distance, upsetting the sharp-shooter. The four of them leave, sure that it'll take at least a month for the Alpha Device to repair the damage.
