Makenshi is a member of The Ascendant Androids as Waveman. With the ability to control water, as well as some form of a harpoon-like melee weapon, he is well rounded to fight both on land and underwater. Dr. Wily had originally designed him to pretty much be an improved version of Bubbleman.

Makenshi is initially played as a villain working for Earl Tyrant and his Lords. An Unlimited from the long-destroyed realm of Misteria, Makenshi used the linear motion of his Maken ("Magic Sword") as a channel of the power of Mist to summon his Sword Dragons. Makenshi is voiced by J. Shanon Weaver in the English version and Akira Ishida in the Japanese version.

On le voit souvent assis dans les bras de la statue au-dessus du trône du Comte.
