The ECS Ibn Battuta was a cargo ship owned by the Earth Cargo Service in the 22nd century. The ship was named for the 14th century Moroccan explorer Ibn Battuta, known for his extensive travels over a period of thirty years through the known Islamic world and many non-Muslim lands. He was considered one of the great travellers of all time.
