Audrii III was the cousin of emperor Sidir VI. During the chaotic Era of the Princes, his career was market brief ascensions to the throne, between the two major rivals, Sidir VI and Corrin V and their sons. He overthrew his cousin, perhaps with the help of House Atreides, but was in turn overthrown by Corrin V. He would take his throne back from him only to lose it again the next year. Years later he would take the throne after Negara III but would lose in the following year. Menemtahe III (son of former Emperor Ezhar III) would be his successor.

When his old rival Corrin was found again on the throne, Audrii would depose him again to rule briefly, until deposed by Costin IV. He ruled for the last time after deposing Menemtahe IV who eventually got his throne back.
