Mathieu Benoit (born July 12, 1979 in Lachine, Quebec) is a Canadian right winger playing for the Saguenay Marquis of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey. He played major junior with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, and Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 1995 to 2000. In 1998-99 he won the Guy Lafleur Trophy. The New Jersey Devils chose him 188th overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. Benoit turned pro in 2000-01 with the Charlotte Checkers and the Hartford Wolf Pack.
