In the last days of Mar Sara, he served as the commanding officer of the prison ship Merrimack, a converted Leviathan-class battlecruiser, holding members of the Mar Sara Colonial Militia arrested after the Battle of Backwater Station. In the last days of Mar Sara, he served as the commanding officer of the prison ship Merrimack, a converted Leviathan-class battlecruiser, holding members of the Mar Sara Colonial Militia arrested after the Battle of Backwater Station. Due to the threat of the protoss, the crew was steadily shipped out leaving behind a skeleton crew. Tudbury wanted to join them and leave the prisoners to their fate. Due to his desperation to leave, Tudbury admitted Shuttle 5467 to dock with the ship, despite the craft seemingly not being able to provide verification due to radio interference. Unfortunately for Tudbury, the shuttle carried a Sons of Korhal team led by Michael Liberty, which promptly took control of the ship and rescued the prisoners.
