- Note that rune gloves cannot be sold back to the Culinaromancer's Chest, or traded with another player. Thus, the only way of getting rid of it would be by using Alchemy or by dropping the gloves. If the player chooses to use an alchemy spell on the gloves, they will get some of the money back. Unlike most untradeable items, rune gloves do not turn in to coins upon death in the wilderness. Instead you may run back and retrieve them.

abstract
| - This item is autokeep. This means that if you die with it, you will always keep it.
Rune gloves are very cheap compared to the next pair of gloves in line, the dragon gloves. They cost only 5,000 coins compared to the 100,000 coins cost of Dragon gloves or Barrows gloves, and their bonuses are only slightly lower. Because of this, the majority of player-killers wear Rune gloves over Dragon gloves or Barrows gloves in order to save money. As such, when fighting tough monsters it is advised to bring rune gloves, as they are far cheaper and less time consuming to get back. Unlike most untradeable items, rune gloves do not turn in to coins upon death in the wilderness. Instead you may run back and retrieve them.
