However, their plan backfires when Numbuh 3 befriends the animal and names it Waffles. When they hear her laughing, the other sector members think she is screaming and under attack. when they run to rescue her, Waffles takes a disliking to them and attacks them, making the D.C.F.D.T.L. think their succeeded. Numbuh 3 rides out on Waffles and gives him back to the D.C.F.D.T.L. They get angry, making Waffles turn on them and attack. Numbuh 3 returns to the the treehouse, where everybody else is recovering from the fight. Then, she asks them if they've met her giant, angry cat, Butterscotch.
