The Terminator franchise is a trilogy of films that began with the debut of the first film in 1984 and ended with the third and final film's release in 1995. The series follows a group of cyborgs from the future (The titular Terminators, from 2029 AD) who travel back in time to, at first kill the leader of the future human resistance before he is born (The Terminator), and then a second attempt to kill him as a child ten years later (Terminator 2: Judgment Day).
