- McBain (マクベイン Makubeinn?) is the grandfather of Forte in The Legend of Heroes III: Song of the Ocean. A 62 year old master harp magician who made many accomplishments, he is inspired to travel the world once again after receiving the "Water Melody" from Shao. He goes on this journey with Forte, Una, Jan, and Rick in order to gather the Resonances Stone, which will enable them to perform the "Lost Melody".
- The story of McBain starts in very humble beginnings with an NFLDC (NFL Draft Countdown) based alliance called the United Assembly. The alliance was very short lived and most members migrated to STA (siberian tiger alliance.) McBain stayed there for sometime until a tech raid test was instituted at which point he bailed. He was quoted later as saying "tech raiding test...? hella lame." In addition to the perceived lame-ness of the tech raiding test, he had grown tired of white team so he made the switch to aqua and chilled in sanctum for a bit. It was around this time some bigger alliance started chaffing or something because Sanctum got jacked and forced off of aqua team. Ironically they chose to migrate to white and merge with some alliance.
- McBain is a fictional action movie hero played by the actor Rainier Wolfcastle in the McBain movies. His name is a play on the character John McClane of the Die Hard series, and his appearance and personality is inspired by Bruce Willis (sarcasm) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (towering height, extremely strong, limited emotional range and thick Austrian accent). McBain movies feature numerous action movie clichés, such as a policeman being gunned down just before retirement, guns that never run out ammunition, considerable (and often unnecessary) property damage, and cheesy one-liners.
