Beneath the house was a private laboratory owned by Professor Edgewise. Many years ago, the super-villain Captain Nazi raided the boarding house in search of Tandy McCrae. Having fallen in love with Beautia Sivana, Captain Nazi tried to force Tandy to make her a wedding gown so she would agree to marry him. This incident brought him into conflict with his young foe Captain Marvel, Jr. Marvel burst through the wall of the boarding house and knocked Captain Nazi out with one punch.
