Iorveth (Polish: Iorweth) is an elf, a well-known hater of humans, responsible for burning many human villages and civilian deaths, and was the commander of the last Scoia'tael commando to be broken during the second war with Nilfgaard. One of the elves under his command was Echel Traighlethan who was captured by the Redanian Secret Service and brought to Drakenborg to be hanged.

Per alcuni l'elfo non è che un pericoloso criminale; per altri è un eroe che difende i diritti dei non-umani. E' sopravvisuto alla caccia sanguinaria dopo la guerra contro Nilfgaard e, quando la sua unità fu distrutta, ne ha costituita una nuova, raccogliendo i veterani e i reietti oppressi dall'ingiustizia: giovani elfi ribelli e mercenari nani ricercati dalla legge.

Si nasconde nei boschi e nelle foreste al confine tra Temeria e l'Aedirn, nelle Terre selvagge di Flotsam, dove attacca i ricchi e taglia la gola ai poveri. Per molte volte ha lottato contro i servizi segreti di Temeria ed è riuscito a sfuggire a molti agguati. Vernon Roche lo considera il nemico numero uno. Attenzione: Spoiler!: Significativi dettagli della trama a seguire. Ultimamente Iorveth si è scelto un pericoloso alleato stringendo un accordo con i Regicidi, responsabili dell'assassinio di re Demavend di Aedirn. Per l'elfo non fa alcuna differenza che si tratti di un re o di un contadino: è solo un d'hoine di meno. Geralt, Triss e Vernon Roche incontrano Iorveth all'inzio del Capitolo I, sulle tracce degli Scoia'tael complici dell'ultimo assassinio, la morte di re Foltest. Grazie ad una spia, che si rivela essere il bardo Dandelion, Roche ha scoperto l'ubicazione dell'unità di Iorveth, deciso a fare i conti con lui. Se Geralt decide di allersi con Iorveth, l'elfo lo accompagnerà anche nei successivi Capitoli della storia, lottando fianco a fianco con lui, per scoprire che dietro i Regicidi si nasconde un piano sottile e politico molto più grande e oscuro.
