The Subatomic Crystallization Matrix was a enhanced version of the Theta-matrix compositor and was highly efficient. Created in mid-2474. The Subatomic Crystallization Matrix irradiates the Dilithium crystals with synthetic polymers (highlighted in light-blue >) which attach to the crystals. They from there, act as a super-absorbent polymer and grows in size, expanded the crystals. The end result is the worn out crystalline structure in dilithium in reconstructed using synthetic polymers. The namesake for the device comes from it's small size, coming to about a maximum of .87 or 1.2 microns.

In case the Matrix is damaged or has a failure, it can be repaired in simplicity, but if the damage is to complex or extensive, their are backup matrix's.
