  • Chicken feed is an expression frequently used by Jake's dad when playing board games, when he is made by the game to pay an amount to the other player that does not make a particular dent in his funds. A mere rent to pay on a brown property early on in the game may garner the phrase. However, conversely, later on in the game, upon gaining a lead, the phrase may also be heard, mockingly, when having to pay rent that other plays may consider a lot to them in comparison, an indicator of their current wealth. • Chicken feed is an expression frequently used by Jake's dad when playing board games, when he is made by the game to pay an amount to the other player that does not make a particular dent in his funds. A mere rent to pay on a brown property early on in the game may garner the phrase. Jake, naturally, slipped this out when playing a game of Monopoly with the SAGuys, and was hilariously laughed at for using such a phrase. However, after explaining it's etymology, the SAGuys (Jacob especially), didn't quite understand the concept, and started using it willy nilly at inopportune moments that did not relate to the phenomenon or was totally unnecessary to use it. Jake berated Jacob on several occasions for this, be still maintains he is using it correctly, having previously stated that he can make up his own definition for it, such as when only having some change in his pocket or some shit. Jacob's view: I'd just like to add that I completely understand the definition of chicken feed, but that most of the humour comes from the way Jake said it (like "cream of the crop").
