Samo Heung is a non-canon character that made his only appearance in Mortal Kombat novel. After the Earth warriors are enjoying their victory back in Liu Kang and Kung Lao's village, a newcomer introducing himself as Samo Heung. As he arrives, he says that his village in Qiqihar in the Great Khingan Range was destroyed, and he seeks to make this his new home. It is implied that this was actually Sub-Zero in disguise, though it is never fully resolved.
