B-Roc (1987- ), born Benjamin Ruttner, is a New York City-based producer and DJ. He opened the base and studio for his management company and music collective, HeavyRoc Music, in 2007. B-Roc is one-half of production and songwriting duo The Knocks. Born in Montpelier, Vermont and raised in Hanover, New Hampshire, he developed an early interest in both music and production. At age 13, he went to Boston to compete in the DMC World DJ Championships, where he came in third place. In 2008, he produced “We Got A Problem” by Sheek Louch featuring Bun B and The Game.

After graduating high school, he went on to DJ for rapper Krumbsnatcha and later did in-house production at Fastlife Records, a label under KOCH Records. While at KOCH, he produced five tracks on an album released by The Game as well as Dogg Pound Gang’s “Cruisin’ in my 64” and Mobb Deep’s “Talkin’ Sideways,” which was placed on the Funkmaster Flex Carshow 2005 CD. In 2007, he worked as Sean Kingston’s DJ during his first tour. In 2008, he produced “We Got A Problem” by Sheek Louch featuring Bun B and The Game.
