On a ventilator in Intensive Care, the Doctor told her husband Ashley that she was showing signs of regaining consciousness and encouraged him to speak to her to help bring her round. Offering him a chair, the nurse reassured Ashley that Claire would probably be aware that he was with her. However, he was quickly ushered out of the room when the monitors alerted the staff to a problem. The doctor later explained that Claire's blood pressure had dropped but now making good progress.
