In the 17th century the Italian king of Duke of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany made plans to send explorer Robert Thornton to explore the amazon area in South America. In 1609, Robert Thornton returned from selecting the area in OTL French Guyana, and had brought back with him Native Americans and parrots. When he arrived he found that Ferdinando of Tuscany had died and his successor Cosimo of Tuscany was in reign. In OTL Cosimo cancelled the plans to send the Italian ships with colonizers and instead made them stay, but what if he hadn't?
