(ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing) The leader of the movement, Syrran, had a tremendous amount of influence among his followers mainly because he possessed the katra of Surak himself. Beneath him, T'Pau and T'Les were also prominent members of the movement by 2154. During that year, the United Earth embassy on Vulcan was destroyed through the use of a bomb which was suspected to have been orchestrated by the Syrrannite movement after being implicated by the Vulcan government of the crime. After an investigation by Captain Jonathan Archer of the Enterprise it was learnt that the movement was entirely innocent of the crime and the Human along with the Syrrannites worked to fight against the oppression of the Vulcan High Command. The actions of Archer and the Syrrannites resulted in the Vulcan Reformation in 2154 by the discovery of the Kir'Shara. (ENT episodes: "The Forge", "Awakening", "Kir'Shara") After her appointment to Administrator of the Confederacy of Vulcan, T'Pau began to instill Syrrannite teachings of pacifism within the new reformist Vulcan government. Whilst psi-linking between two Vulcans was a Syrrannite practice, it was still not socially accepted by the rest of the Vulcan population by 2156. (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)

The base was subsequently destroyed by the Vulcan High Command to cover up their involvement in the bombing of the embassy. Among the few survivors were Archer, T'Pol, and T'Pau, who then began a search to locate the Kir'Shara. (ENT: "Awakening") The recovery of the Kir'Shara and the Syrrannite role in its discovery directly resulted in the Vulcan Reformation. (ENT: "Kir'Shara", "Daedalus")
