Magic or ancient magicks can be dangerous to use because most robes have low defence and there is a lack of safe spots, but it has proven to be effective. If using ancient magicks, the player can attack with ice spells so the Guard cannot move, providing decent experience because of his weakness to mage, with no danger to the player.

- De Tyras guards kunnen maximaal 15 hitten. Hoewel er een aantal safespots zijn, bieden deze bij de meesten plekken geen bescherming. De halberd kan hier namelijk overheen reiken. Protect from Melee is sterk aanbevolen wanneer je tegenover een Tyras Guard komt te staan. Magic is niet aanbevolen omdat de meeste toga's lage Defence bonussen hebben. Toch zeggen veel mensen dat die manier effectief is. Ice barrage is handig omdat je hem dan niet kan laten bewegen voor 20 seconden! Dit zorgt ervoor dat hij geen kwaad naar jou kan doen en goede magic ervaring krijgt.

Magic or Ancient Magicks can be dangerous to use because most robes have low defence and there is a lack of safe spots, but it has proven to be effective. If using Ancient Magicks, a player can attack with ice spells so the Guard cannot move, which is highly effective because of his weakness to Magic, and binding the guard results in most if not all damage being avoided during the fight.
