To also make ends meet, Yvette is also known as a woman-about-the town, as referenced by Michelle in The Flying Nun. Catchphrases
* "Ohhhh René!" - Primary catchphrase Her passionate Romance with Rene Artois. Rene Artois is Yvette's True Love, many times throughout the series she is asking him to leave his wife Edith and be with her. Rene ( having been shot "dead") explains to her that he must remarry his wife to get his café back than he would leave her to marry Yvette. She has a fierce protective streak with Rene and would do anything to be with him. In the "Dungeon" episode when Rene (dressed as a girl) by the resistance and captured by Herr Flick along with the Captain and Col . Yvette crawls through the drains to see Rene and to give him his rings that contain the poison pills. She tells him that she would "I have saved a pill for myself, I cannot live without you". she would willingly die with Rene if he took the poison pills. Many scenes in the show focus on the "Romance" between them. If left alone without Rene it just kills her. Yvette's strength comes from Rene and their love for eachother. When nearly interrogated by Madam Edith Yvette says "How could you think of such a thing, of course not." easily doping her with such a flimsy excuse. Rene and Yvette's love soon results in a "Bun in the Oven". and a foiled secret wedding. But it is stated that the "child" was just a fluke due to a frog and a wrong pregnancy sample.
