The Frontier Volunteer Fire Company serves several square miles in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, which is bordered by the City of Niagara Falls to the north and the City of North Tonawanda to the south. First organized in 1940, the Company's original station was located on Frontier Avenue between 102nd Street and 103rd Street in Niagara Falls. Following the Love Canal environmental disaster in 1977, apparatus were re-located to a former school at 2179 River Road. The company maintains a banquet facility and administrative offices nearby at 2176 Liberty Drive.
