After the siege was broken, Jedi Grand Master Yoda was persuaded to lead the Jedi in a coalition against Mezzileen and the Republic. Afterwards the Coalition regrouped and engaged in the Mezzilenic War with the Republic. At first the war went bad for the Coalition and its fleets were driven into the Outer Rim, but they were able to halt the Republic advance at the Vergesso Asteroids. After this the Coalition was able to ally with the Bothans and trap the Republic in the center of the galaxy and away from their supply lines in the Outer Rim. However when Arf Fey'lya meddled in the balance of power on Dac, the Coalition became deeply divided and many neutral worlds returned to the Republic. Building on this the Republic broke out of the Core and scattered the Coalition in attack after attack. However the Coalition was able to rally from these defeats when the insane Jedi Har Kieth began revealing Republic fleet movements to the Coalition. The Coalition used this to outmaneuver the Republic fleet and strike a devastating blow at the Battle of Kuat, which caused Mezzileen's regime to collapse. The Coalition pushed forward to Coruscant, where they received the surrender of the acting Chancellor Harza Klim. Following the end of the war, the Coalition dissolved back into its constituent parts with the Jedi, the Democratic Republican Party and its other allies going their separate ways. The last act of the Coalition was to ensure Merix Valorum's election to Chancellor against their former ally Fey'lya.
