| - This amount is based on the calculation of Hit Points (HP).
- Damage Points represent the injuries sustained by a unit or File:Icon Figure.png at any given time. Damage Points are, essentially, the loss of Hit Points. Units suffer Damage Points primarily when struck by Physical Damage - the most basic and most common type of damage in the game. Once a unit has suffered a number of Damage Points equal to its maximum File:Icon Hits.png score, that unit is completely destroyed. Thus, the primary way to kill a unit is to inflict a sufficient number of Damage Points to that unit. Damage Points are indicated by the File:Icon Damage.png icons that replace the File:Icon Hits.png icons in the unit's details panel as it gets injured. Therefore, a unit with 5 Damage Points will have File:Icon Damage.png . The number of File:Icon Hits.png remaining indicates how much more File:Icon Damage.png that unit can take before being destroyed. Things work a little differently for File:Icon MultiFigureUnit.png , because File:Icon Hits.png and File:Icon Damage.png are tracked separately for each File:Icon Figure.png . Once a File:Icon Figure.png has suffered an amount of File:Icon Damage.png equal to its maximum File:Icon Hits.png , that particular figure is destroyed. A File:Icon MultiFigureUnit.png is only destroyed once it has lost all of its Figures. File:Icon Damage.png can be healed in several ways, particularly by a process known as "natural healing", whereby a unit's sustained File:Icon Damage.png is reduced by a certain amount each overland turn. Units can also be healed artificially with magic, or thanks to the powerful Regeneration ability. Some units (those associated with the File:Icon Death.png) can only regain health through Regeneration.
