  • Pergalia is the eponymous planet in the Pergalia star system, and the lone hospitable planet therein. It is a lightly-populated world, and for one span from 4 ABY to 14 ABY it was a member world of the Griffon Alliance. It was invaded and occupied by the Galactic Empire and now lies within the Imperial Mid-Rim Zone of Jurisdiction, along with the rest of the former Griffon territory, with the exception of Rhineal. It is a bitter, acrid world with ashen skies and a haggard landscape. At several points on the planet, massive fissures and vents spew pyroclastic material, creating billowing columns of smoke that regularly choke the atmosphere worldwide. In the habitable zones, there is an endless fight (or tolerance, depending on one's perspective) with soot and grime. No sentient lifeforms claim this as their homeworld, but there are several varieties of flora and fauna, albeit extremely hardy. The populace consists of several different races, among them Barabel, Kubaz, Nikto, Duro and the like. The Griffon Alliance itself was a diverse melting pot, but nowhere was this more evident than Pergalia.
