abstract
  • The game also inspired three remakes: Myst: Masterpiece Edition, a re-release of the game with higher resolution images and extra features, realMyst, a full 3D remake with weather and an additional age, and realMyst: Masterpiece Edition, a version of realMyst with updated graphics and other new features. Myst was created by Cyan Worlds to be an immersive experience, rather than a typical game. Several of the game's main features were introduced as a means to immerse people more fully, such as the game being in 3D, the inability to die or lose and modeling additional details that no one would really notice (such as individual screws).
