The Mandalorian command cruiser was the heaviest battlecruiser of the Mandalorian Empire. This classification acted as the flagship of any Mandalorian major fleet, usually of approximately twenty warships. Each command cruiser was commanded by a Sith, in keeping with the edict that only Mandalorian Sith could command major warships and armadas. Several participated in the Victorious Wars, where the Mandalorian Empire struggled with the Galactic Federation over control of the galaxy.

abstract
| - The Mandalorian command cruiser was the heaviest battlecruiser of the Mandalorian Empire. This warship class was heavily armed and armored, but lacked velocity and a substantial ground or starfighter compliment, and its lack of anti-starfighter weaponry led to its weakness against swift enemy interceptors or fleet bombers. Because of the costliness and morale presence of these warships, they required escorts and tended to be buried within Mandalorian fleet phalanxes, stripping away their advantage of firepower. Their typically fixed position led to an even greater loss in maneuverability. However, some commanders, such as Darth Umbraul during the Battle of Bastion, refused to follow the command codex on the typical usage of the command cruiser as a long-range support warship, and boldly struck out against Galactic Federation elements on their own instead of participating in typical Order of Battle exchanges of fire. This led to a high percentage of Sith fatalities on those who had unorthodox tactics on the usage of the Mandalorian command cruiser.
